Tasty Buds…Series 43

Paneer Masala – Dhaaba style

Paneer, ginger garlic paste, tomatoes, salt, green chillies, kasuri methi leaves, spices, onion, lemon, red chillies, dhaniya powder, chilli powder, haldi powder

Heat oil in a pan, add spices like daal chini, cloves, elaichi

saute finely chopped onions, add red chillies, saute well

mash tomatoes in the meanwhile

add ginger garlic paste, saute well

add curry leaves, mashed tomatoes, saute well

add haldi powder, dhaniya powder, red chilli powder – mix well, then add salt to taste

add water as needed, allow to boil

add fresh milk cream and cashew paste optional

meanwhile cut paneer in small pieces and add to the boiling mixture

slit 2 green chillies in between and add to this mixture, add kasuri methi, finely chopped coriander leaves

garnish with lemon before serving

Work from Home during the COVID-19 Pandemic and the subsequent nationwide lockdown, gave me a chance to spend more time with my family and ofcourse helped me re-invent my cooking knowledge and try out more healthy yummy dishes for my family in the evenings and over the weekend; it saved my commuting time and energy, my day would start at 5am as usual, finish off all my daily household chores, then office work 8am to 5pm, from 5pm I could spend my time for my family trying our new dishes and eat them fresh hot with my family, I begin this Series Tasty Buds.. you may try out a few ones, most of them are simple, easy and quick to prepare, so read ,try our Tasty Buds !!!
