Tasty Buds…Series 46

Honey Chilli Potato

1 large potato sliced like fingers, maida  ½ spoon, corn flour

Slice potatoes in finger shape and soak in water

Drain water from the potatoes, add maida and corn flour, a pinch of salt, mix well so that the potatoes are coated well

Heat oil in a kadai, deep fry the coated potatoes until crispy

Keep aside the fried potatoes in a dish

Heat oil in a pan, add ginger garlic paste, white sesame seeds, red chilli flakes, soya sauce, chilli sauce, tomato sauce, add a pinch of  cornflour, add some water, salt to taste and allow the gravy to cook

Add the fried potatoes to this gravy and mix well

Add capsicum, spring onions (optional), add honey, mix well

Switch of the gas now

Serve hot, garnished with more honey

Work from Home during the COVID-19 Pandemic and the subsequent nationwide lockdown, gave me a chance to spend more time with my family and ofcourse helped me re-invent my cooking knowledge and try out more healthy yummy dishes for my family in the evenings and over the weekend; it saved my commuting time and energy, my day would start at 5am as usual, finish off all my daily household chores, then office work 8am to 5pm, from 5pm I could spend my time for my family trying our new dishes and eat them fresh hot with my family, I begin this Series Tasty Buds.. you may try out a few ones, most of them are simple, easy and quick to prepare, so read ,try our Tasty Buds !!!
