World Laughter Day πŸ˜πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜€

“Laughter is the best medicine.”

We often hear this quote time and time again and it is always believed in strongly.

May 2 is dedicated to this delightful feeling that we crave. It is celebrated as World Laughter Day. πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜ŠπŸ˜πŸ˜

This day was created for the first time in the year 1998 by a man named Dr. Madan Kataria. A family doctor in Mumbai by profession, he started the Laughter Yoga Movement in a bid to prove that expressions on our faces can have an impact on how we feel. It was from here that the seed of World Laughter Day was planted in order to promote world peace and stability with the help of laughter.

A good laugh is a mighty good thing, a rather too scarce a good thing- Herman Melville

A smile starts on the lips, a grin spreads to the eyes, a chuckle comes from the belly; but a good laugh bursts forth from the soul, overflows, and bubbles all around. β€” Carolyn Birmingham

Against the assault of laughter, nothing can stand- Mark Twain Always laugh when you can.

It is cheap medicine. β€” Lord Byron

Even God loves jokes- Plato

God is a comedian playing to an audience too afraid to laugh. β€” Voltaire

I have not seen anyone dying of laughter, but I know millions who are dying because they are not laughing. – Dr. Madan Kataria

On WORLD LAUGHTER DAY, the positive feeling of joy and happiness is promoted. The importance of laughter is also for our body’s wellness as well. A smile can reduce a lot of stress that goes on in our minds.
